Its Party Time!

Sorry I havent blogged for a while, I have been super busy with life lately. It is my Birthday next week and I am having a little get together which I am calling Pretty in Pink Psychic Crop Night!

Basically it is just a few of my family and friends getting together and scrapping. But I have invited a forutune Teller to come along and do some readings for us! I thought that would be a fun twist on the evening. Another twist is that everyone who is attending, must wear something Pink!

I have been enjoying buying all of the decorations and coming up with cute ideas for the night.

I handed out the invites today and I used my Cricut (of course) to create them. Take a look-

And the details are on the back-

(Sorry its a bit unclear. I was in a rush to do the school run!)

The cupcake is from Create a Critter and was cut at 5 1/2 inches.

I am hoping I have a parcel waiting for me when I get home with some goodies in it!!!

Green Easter Eggs & Ham!

Hello everyone! Well it's School Holidays here in Australia! I just love the school holidays, not sure if it is the late nights, no lunches, no school uniforms, no school shoes or all of the above! Dont get me wrong, when school is in, I am a mega routine Mum! Bedtimes, lunch packed the night before, teeth brushed. But that is why I love the school holidays so much, it gives us a break from the normality of everyday life. That and I get to spend time with my special little guy.
I took Dylan to see HOP last week. What a great movie! I laughed so much. And it really got me in the mood for Easter (and chocolate... not that I needed an excuse for that!) I even went out after the movie and did all my Easter shopping which I had been slightly avoiding!

We went to the Drive In last night to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2. That was a good movie also. My son loved the drive in. It was his first time!

On Saturday night, I was feeling creative and decided to take the time and effort required to do a Toy Story card. Now for those of you who love and use Disney cartridges, you will understand the patience needed for such a project! But I was dedicated to seeing this project out and here is the result...

I Love it! The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and says "Hogs & Kisses"! The background paper is from the DCWV Animal Crackers Stack. I cut Ham at 4 inches, which worked well. This card was cut and created within 45 mins and no, not because I am a master cricutter but because this cut is suprisingly easy (for a disney cut).

I also recieved my Pink By Design- Animated Greetings Stamps and pink stamp block. They are adorable. I had my hubby order the "Best of Pixar" Cartridge for me for mothers day just so I could use these stamps! Thanks Sarah!

Happy Scrapping!

Latest Projects

Hi eveyone! I haven't had alot of free time lately, which means there hasn't been alot of scrapbooking or crafting getting done at my house. I did manage to get a few projects done and also a tiny haul to share...

(Sorry about the video getting cut off on the sides, I recorded it the wrong way)
Here is a few pictures of the accordian folder I made. I must stress that I did not come up with this idea, and have just recreated it. These are really easy and make cute presents. And best of all they are quick to make. If you find the "My Pink Stamper" button on the right hand side of my blog, Robyn has an easy to follow tutorial on her site. If you get stuck finding the video, let me know and I will post a link.

Here is the mask I created using the Doodlecharms carridge. I used the "Fit to page" button on a 12x12 mat...

Thanks for stopping by!

Checking In and a few small projects

Hi again guys and welcome to my new followers and viewers! I hope you draw inspiration from my blog and feel free to ask questions or comments! I hope you enjoy your visit! I made this video for you guys so you could put a face to a name and get to know me as I am enjoying getting to know you.

So if anyone has any suggestions about the blade dragging on paper, please let me know!
I have sooo many projects in my ideas book to complete and so many new things I want to test out, but life keeps getting in the way! When do you guys like to scrap? Early in the morning before the sun rises? Or are you a late night scrapper like me?
Here are pics of the projects I showed you in the video..

And the card. I forgot to mention that I cut the dolls out with the blackout feature so I could stamp the faces using Peachy Keen stamps.  I coloured the whites of their eyes using a white gel pen...

Have a great week everyone!

Hi guys! So what do you think? Do you love the new Pink-a-licious Header? I am so in love with it! A big thanks to Terri over at http://www.thatblogplace.com/ for designing it for me exactly the way I wanted!
Okay now onto business! I visited a craft expo on the weekend with my best friend, Amanda (Hi Amanda!)
and boy did we shop! Take a look at my haul video...

I have already started using some of the things I purchased. Yesterday I had a day off work and decided to dedicate my day to card making. I made 6 in total which took me a few hours, then I took a nap and didn't get anymore done! Here are some of the cards I made...

And this one which happens to be my favourite...

Hehe I love this card every time I look at it, I laugh! This morning I was having a giggle at it as I was making my son's breakfast and he asked me "What's so funny about breakfast?"

If you guys want card recipes for these creations, leave me a request. Have a wondeful day everyone!

Yummy Gift idea

Hello Everyone, Wow, 10 followers! I am so happy you guys decided to follow my blog. If anyone has any suggestions, comments or questions about any of my projects, just leave me a comment. I looove comments!
Just a quick post today an cute gift idea. These little guys are cupcakes and cookies in a jar.

The cupcake jar has been decorated using the DCWV sweet stack, and you will recognise the cupcake from the create a critter cart. I have embossed the "icing" on the cupcake using cuttlebug embossing folder D'vine swirls. The cupcake wrapper has been scored to give it a 3D effect and then I just added some stickles and a ribbon.
Mr Gingerbread Man (isn't he cute?) was created by tracing around a cookie cutter. I unfortunately couldn't find a gingy on any of my carts :( but I think he turned out cute. His face was stamped using Peachy Keen Pumpkin faces stamps. I used the DCWV sweet stack for the paper and then I dressed gingy up with buttons, bow tie and stickles.
Each Jar contains the goodies needed to create either cupcakes or cookies. The cupcake one comes with mix, directions and 12 sparkly cupcake cases. The cookie jar comes with cookie mix, instructions and a cookie cutter.
And of course once you have made these yummy treats you get to keep the jar!
What do you guys think?

School Mini Album & my first video!

Hi Everyone! I wanted to share this cute mini album which I created for my son who had his first year of school last year.
This album was a year in the making and I have used permission notes, info books and other memorabilia to embelish this mini because I wanted to remember the little things which happeed through this very important year.
I recorded this video last night and Iwas sooo nervous! The quality isn't that great and there is so much more that I wanted to say about the album but I got stage fright! One thing I wanted to mention is that the die cuts which I used were cut from the Locker Talk Cartridge.
Okay here we go, hope you guys enjoy!...

Thanks for watching!

Character Cards

Hi Everyone! I am so excited to see that people are actually viewing this blog. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time out of their day to have a look. It means the world to me to be able to share some of my creations and hopefully encourage people to be creative. For me, crafting and creating things is not only a huge stress relief but to see the look on someones face when you present them with a card which you have taken the time to make, is priceless. Which brings me to my next creation.
Disney Cars is a favourite in our household and I was really excited to make my son a personalised card for his birthday with the Cars Cricut Cartridge. When my hubby first suggested that I break open this cartridge, I was nervous! The cars are super detailed and the layering takes hours. But I thought I would give it a try and this is what I came up with;

This card took me hours. I chose to make this image because it looked less detailed than some of the other cars, but it was still very time consuming. The rest of the card was pretty straight foward.
I love the Disney Cartridges because its the detail that brings them to life. We all recognise them, especially for those of us with kids. I tried the Toy Story Cartridge a couple of months ago and here's how it turned out;

The alien is adorable! You can't really see the detail, but the paper in the background is embossed using the Cuttlebug machine and the sentiment is stamped. This is one of my favourites.
If anyone would like more information on the Cricut or any of the Cartridges, please email me or leave a comment. My husband bought me mine for Christmas last year and I have used it on sooo many projects. It has taken my crafting to another level.
Later in the week I will be posting on Mini Albums and the importance of preserving those special memories.

Valentines Day Crafts

Hi everyone, Happy Valentines Day for last Monday. I hope everyone had a nice day shared with their loved ones. My hubby and I tend not to focus too much on Valentines Day because we have our son's Birthday only 2 days before, so we make a big deal of our Wedding Anniversary which is later in the year. I did recieve a beautiful card and chinese take out (my favourite) served to me on red plates which he had gone and bought especially for dinner. I thought this was adorable!
I thought I would share with you the crafts that I created this Valentines Day for my hubby and my son. Dylan wanted to give some crafts out to his valentines from school and this year he had three. This is what I came up with...
Really simple. I just bought three glass jars, filled them with red lollies and decorated them. I used my cricut, but you could use stickers and ribbons. I also added a tag with each of the girls names on them. I am pretty sure they liked them.
Here is the card which I made for my hubby...

He loved it. Our family has a pet rabbit which we adore so I thought this would be cute. I used a stamp for the sentiment.
Well I hope you guys are enjoying my blog and are feeling inspired to get scrapping and crafting!

Dylan's 6th Birthday Party

Hi again guys. Last weekend we celebrated our son, Dylan's birthday. Instead of making cupcakes to take in and share with his classmates, I decided to create these gorgeous party bags. Take a look...

I filled the bags with lollies and a small bottle of bubbles. I created the topper with cardstock and cut the monster using my Cricut. Dylan was super excited to take them in and share them with his classmates...

Take a look at his Spongebob Cupcake Tree I made...

And one more pic for you guys. These are the Thank you cards I created using theToy Story Cricut Cartridge....

Lots of cricuting going on over the past few weeks! Happy Birthday Dylan!

Newbie

Well this is my first post on my new blog Pink-a-licious! I created this blog because I wanted a place where I could display all of my creations. It is almost like a portfolio I guess you could say. Because I am only new at this, I will be making changes and uploading pics as I go. Thanks and I hope you enjoy.
